Valentine’s Grams a Sweet Success

Colorguard sold Valentine’s Grams last week in place of its usual Gift Wrap Fundraiser during winter break. Colorguard is an incredibly expensive sport, and without fundraising, the students would have to pay over $1000 for necessary equipment.

The fundraiser was very beneficial for the Colorguard members and was much more successful than they initially expected; in fact, it was so profitable that “the night before we had to deliver, [we] were 120 grams oversold,” said sophomore Charlene Hsia.
Colorguard currently has no definitive plans to repeat the fundraiser in the future, although it was very successful.
It was a lot of work for the Colorguard members, though.

“[I was up] making grams until 11:30 the night before!” said sophomore Michelle Siu.
