Boys Golf Preview

Boys Varsity Golf practices started last week, and the 13 members of the team are looking to attain the Sea View League championship this year.

Although the team lost four four-year Varsity seniors from last year, they still boast four excellent returning golfers from last year’s CIF playoff team.

“Though the team will not be as deep as previous years,” said Coach Tim O’Brien, “these guys will give us a strong starting group. [They’re] capable of shooting par on any given day.”
The ace of the group is the team captain, junior Joe Kim, a CIF individual finalist and team medalist. Others star players include seniors Justin Wilcock and Do Seo and sophomores Jared Tan and Jayden Kim.

“Hopes are high to challenge for the Sea View League championship and another CIF playoff birth,” said O’Brien.

The first Boys Golf pre-season match is scheduled for Wednesday, March 3 at Tustin Ranch Golf Course.
